Searching and Replacing Text

To search a string of text you can use the Find dialog box. Find dialog box can be accessed from the toolbar, Edit menu or by using it's shortcut i.e. Ctrl+F.

Search is automatically performed from the beginning, so you don't have to change cursor position. Selecting the Up option searches for the term in upward direction. Checking the Match case option does a case sensitive search. To only search whole words, you can check the Match whole word option.

Note: Make sure that the selection mode is Enabled when you want to search in console emulator environment.

The Replace dialog box is only available for FireTXT text editor. Replace dialog box can be accessed from the Edit menu or by using it's shortcut i.e. Ctrl+H in FireTXT text editor.
